The Town of Guttenberg has implemented new regulations for short-term rentals (defined as 30 days or fewer, such as Airbnb) impacting two- and three-unit properties. Owners must have permanent residency in one of the units, and units must be rented in their entirety.

 

Completed registration forms should be submitted to the Building Department. The annual fee is $200 and there must be an annual unit inspection.

 

Failure to comply with this ordinance will result in a minimum $500 fine for the first offense and a minimum $1,000 fine for all subsequent offenses. Violation of this ordinance, municipal code, UCC or rent control ordinance will result in revocation of short-term rental license.
