Parking Permit
Procedure and requirements to obtain a Resident Parking Permit for the Town of Guttenberg.
Resident Parking
- Copy of valid NJ driver’s license reflecting the address in the Town of Guttenberg
- Copy of valid NJ motor vehicle registration for the vehicle for which the permit is sought must also reflect the address in the Town of Guttenberg
- Insurance ID card
- Check or money order in the amount of $10 payable to “Town of Guttenberg”
Business Parking Permits Requirements:
This permit is given to individuals that work for a business that operates in the Town of Guttenberg. Must bring letter from employer that the person works for, along with all the documents mentioned above. A fee will be charge and will be determined.
Temporary Parking Permit Requirements:
Temporary parking permits are issued to residents who recently moved into Guttenberg and have not had the time to change their documents to reflect that they live in the Town of Guttenberg. Also to residents with a temporary registration.
Temporary permits are also issued if people are using a leased or rented vehicle because their car is being repaired and in a repair shop.
Also, residents will be able to purchase a visitor’s pass for up to 7 days for $20 (check or money order) payable to “Town of Guttenberg.” Residents need to purchase these passes from the Department of Public Safety and need to show proof of residency, plus visitor must bring valid driver license, registration, and insurance card.
Parking Lot Requirements
The person must reside in town and have all the documents reflecting the Guttenberg address. An application must be filled out at the Public Safety office in order to apply for the parking spot.
If the individual is able to obtain a spot, a $100 monthly rental fee is required to be paid every first of the month. Payments received after the 15th of the month will be subject to a penalty of $10.
Payments are to be made by check or money order.
