James J. Braddock Statue Unveiling is Sept. 26

he brand new statue of famed heavyweight world-champion boxer James J. Braddock, a North Bergen resident who served as inspiration for the film “Cinderella Man,” will be unveiled to the public for the first time at a special ceremony at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018. Numerous local officials and special guests will be in attendance.
 
The statue has been installed in a beautifully renovated plaza of Braddock Park at the intersection of Riverview Drive North and South, near Boulevard East.
 
Immediately following the unveiling will be the soft opening of the Hudson County Fair across the street. Hudson County Fair will run through Columbus Day, Oct. 8 with rides, games, food, and fun galore.
