Public Safety Notice: Important Traffic & Parking Information

With major events taking place in our area this weekend including an air show and fireworks display, the Town of Guttenberg in conjunction with neighboring municipalities is implementing road closures and traffic restrictions. Residents should plan all travel appropriately and expect significant delays throughout the weekend.
 
  • Boulevard East will have no parking between Marginal Highway (Lincoln Tunnel) and 71st Street from 8 a.m. on Friday, Jul. 3 through 8 p.m. on Sunday, Jul. 5. Expect road closures along the same route between 12 p.m. on Friday, Jul. 3 and 8 p.m. on Sunday, Jul. 5.
  • River Road is expected to remain open throughout the weekend; however, intermittent closures may occur due to traffic conditions and public safety needs.
  • Ferry Road will be open westbound only from River Road onto Ferry Road on Jul. 3. At the intersection of Ferry Road and Boulevard East, all traffic will be required to make a right turn (northbound) onto Boulevard East toward North Bergen. Ferry Road will remain open on Jul. 4 until 6 a.m. only, at which time Ferry Road will close in both directions until approximately 2 a.m. on Jul. 5.
