Guttenberg’s monthly birthday luncheon for seniors returned on Friday, May 1 to the popular Rumba Cubana Restaurant, 6909 Boulevard East. Seated in a private dining room, attendees selected from a tasty menu of pollo asado, carne con papas, or BBQ ribs, with sides including oriental rice, white rice, and black beans.
 

Council Members Richard Delafuente, Monica Fundora, and John Habermann greeted everyone and helped serve the meal, along with Town Administrator Cosmo Cirillo. The festivities ended with everyone singing to the half-dozen May birthday celebrants, followed by delicious pineapple cake from Ali Cake Decorations.

 

Guttenberg’s senior birthday lunches are planned and coordinated by Senior Services Director Belkis Rubio, visiting different locations in and around Guttenberg each month.
