Street Sweeping and Trash Pickup Suspended Due to Weather
Posted January 23, 2026In anticipation of the severe winter storm forecast for our region, New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill has declared a State of Emergency, effective at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24.
To remain safe, residents are urged to stay home and avoid travel if at all possible, and follow all safety protocols during the storm.
The following parking regulations enforcement will be suspended in Guttenberg effective Monday, Jan. 26 until further notice:
- Alternate side (sweeper) parking
- Meter parking
Residential trash pickup scheduled for Sunday evening is cancelled. Following the storm, residents are reminded to clear snow and ice from container areas and access points prior to their next scheduled collection day to allow for safe and efficient service.
