The Guttenberg Police Department’s Command Staff has selected Officer Jhon Gutierrez as the GPD’s Officer of The Month for September 2025.

 

On September 29, while on patrol, Officer Gutierrez located and identified an individual who was wanted by the West New York Police Department. Demonstrating exemplary proactive policing skills, Officer Gutierrez promptly notified the West New York Police Department and maintained surveillance of the suspect. This ultimately facilitated the individual’s successful apprehension by both Officer Gutierrez and the West New York Police Department.

 

Officer Gutierrez’s actions significantly contributed to the swift capture of this offender, enhancing the safety of our community and neighboring areas against potential criminal activity. This accomplishment reflects outstanding dedication to public service.
