New Jersey was notified by the federal government that if the government shutdown continues, November 2025 Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits will not be available on time.

 

SNAP benefits loaded on to Families First EBT cards prior to Oct. 31 will be able to be used after Nov. 1.

 

SNAP food assistance recipients are advised to check their account at www.NJFamiliesFirst.com  or by calling 800-997-3333 before going to the grocery store after Nov. 1. If there are SNAP benefits in your NJFamiliesFirst account, they are available for you to use.
