The annual Dominican American Parade of Hudson County will take place on Sunday, Sep. 21. It will start at approximately 12 p.m. at 79th Street and Bergenline Avenue in North Bergen and proceed south through Guttenberg to 43rd Street and Bergenline Avenue.

 

Representatives from Guttenberg will be participating in the parade while local residents and guests line the street on either side to cheer on the festivities.

 

This year’s event takes place during Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from September 15 to October 15. Hispanic Heritage Month was established to recognize and celebrate the histories, cultures, contributions, and achievements of Hispanic Americans.

 

Guttenberg is proud to join in the celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month each year and honor our Hispanic American community.

 

Parking will be prohibited from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday on both sides of Bergenline Avenue along the parade route. Bergenline Avenue will be closed to traffic starting at 11 a.m. It is advised that vehicles avoid the area if at all possible.

 

Street closures will also take place at the following intersections:
