Local favorites the Smooth Band Orchestra always attract a crowd when they play Guttenberg, and their show on Thursday, Jul. 17 was no exception. Residents filled the seats in front of the big stage on Boulevard East at 70th Street, when they weren’t dancing in the street.

 

The band performed a rousing set of funk, soul, R&B, and Motown hits with four singers and a tight band. Mayor Wayne Zitt and Town Administrator Cosmo Cirillo introduced the show, along with Council Members Monica Fundora, John Habermann, William Hokien, and Juana Malave.

 

The next concert in Guttenberg’s Summer Music Series features The Infernos live onstage at 70th Street and Boulevard East on Thursday, Jul. 31. The show begins at 7 p.m. with plenty of free seating for residents & guests (weather permitting).
