May Issue of the Guttenberg Brief is Available Online

Posted May 02, 2025

Frank Pelaez is Guttenberg’s first new police chief since 1999, and you can read all about it in the newest issue of the Guttenberg Brief, available now online. Also featured is Guttenberg’s Woman of the Year, Patricia Ahern, honored for her accomplishments.

You can also read about Guttenberg resident Antonio Rubio, who conceived and produced the 2024 movie “La Grande,” winner of the Dominican Republic’s best drama and best actress awards for the year. Plus there’s the usual coverage of recent events like the epic Easter Egg Hunt in Waterfront Park, two different events featuring live animals, the town’s efforts to promote awareness of autism, and the swearing-in of nine police officers to enhance resident safety.

In addition there’s coverage of upcoming activities like the popular Spring Pet Festival, the big semi-annual flea market, our Memorial Day celebration, ALS walk, and registration for Guttenberg’s summer camp for kids. And of course there’s our usual crowded calendar for the coming month.

Guttenberg Brief is published monthly by the mayor and town council to keep you informed about what’s taking place around town. Check out the back issues online for more important news, interesting stories, and photos of people and places you know.
