Deadline to File for ANCHOR Tax Relief Extended to Dec. 6
Posted November 22, 2024The deadline to file for the Affordable New Jersey Communities for Homeowners and Renters (ANCHOR) property tax relief program has been extended to Dec. 6.
Homeowners and renters who meet income and residency requirements are eligible for property tax relief payments ranging from $450 to $1,500, with seniors eligible for an additional $250. This season’s program covers tax year 2021.
Whether you rented or owned your residence in New Jersey as your main home on Oct. 1, 2021, you may be eligible for the ANCHOR benefit. Eligibility is determined by specific income limits and other criteria.
Residents can file applications electronically at www.anchor.nj.gov or submit a paper application by mail as homeowners or tenants/renters to ANCHOR Application Revenue Processing Center, PO Box 636, Trenton, NJ 08646-0636.
