Independence Day starts early in Guttenberg with a free concert on Wednesday night, Jul. 3, 2024 featuring the fabulous Smooth Band Orchestra. This second concert in Guttenberg’s Summer Music Series will take place at 7 p.m. on the big stage at 68th Street and Park Avenue, with plenty of seating for residents.

An eight-piece, multi-talented combo, the Smooth Band Orchestra are deep soul veterans covering the hottest hits of the 1960s and 1970s and beyond, including the very best of Motown.

As a special treat, Steve’z on Wheelz food truck will be on site for food orders. Come out for some terrific music, fun times with friends and neighbors, and to kick off the long Independence Day weekend in style.

Transportation will be provided to all residents starting at 6:30 p.m. at all senior bus stops.

More free concerts are scheduled throughout the summer at different locations in town. Next up: an Elton & Elvis Tribute Concert in Waterfront Park at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jul 5.
