What could be more appropriate on Valentine’s Day than a “heart health” event? Wellness Day returned to the Guttenberg Resource Center on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024 offering free blood pressure and glucose testing, free flu and COVID vaccines, plenty of free giveaways, and more.

Organized by Guttenberg Public Events Coordinator Marisol Montanez and sponsored by Mayor Wayne Zitt and the Town Council, the popular event featured services from the North Hudson Community Action Corporation.

Many holiday treats were available, including free Valentine cupcakes, cookies, chocolates, and numerous delicious treats donated by Trü Frü, who also provided roses for all the event hosts.

The event attracted a healthy (or should we say “hearty”) selection of residents to the Resource Center. Mark your calendars for the next Wellness Day on Thursday, Mar. 14 in the same location.
