Free Opening Reception on Feb. 10 for ‘Difference & Repetition’ Art Exhibition
Posted February 08, 2024The public is invited to a free opening reception for Difference & Repetition, a new group exhibition by artists Anonda Bell, Caren King Choi, and Adrienne Wheeler. The reception takes place at from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10. The exhibition will be on view by appointment only from Feb. 10 to Mar. 3, Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. and virtually online at any time. Patrons can schedule a visit or view the virtual gallery at www.guttenbergarts.org/exhibitions.
Each of the artists in this exhibition has used repetition as a strategy for investigating phenomena: a speculative future, the human psyche, or the nature of intergenerational knowledge.
- Anonda Bell is an Australian born, USA-based artist, writer, and curator. Her work is interdisciplinary, referencing such things as ecology, philosophy, feminism, biology, and history.
- Caren King Choi is a Chinese-Taiwanese-American artist based in New Jersey. Her multimedia artistic practice touches on topics including family, history, faith, representation, and memory.
- Adrienne Wheeler is a visual artist, independent curator and arts educator living and working in Newark, NJ. Her work blurs the lines between spirituality, ancestry, oral history, and social engagement.
