Hispanic State Parade of NJ Coming to Bergenline on Oct. 1
Posted September 29, 2023As part of Guttenberg’s celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the town will be participating in the 48th annual Hispanic State Parade of New Jersey on Sunday, Oct. 1. Dozens of floats and hundreds of participants in costumes proudly flaunting their country’s colors will join the procession as it makes its way down Bergenline Avenue from 80th Street in North Bergen to 43rd Street in Union City, passing through Guttenberg and West New York along the way.
Many town and local officials will take part in this year’s festivities, beginning at approximately 1 p.m.
The Hispanic State Parade of NJ is one of numerous events taking place locally during Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from September 15 to October 15.
Parking will be prohibited from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday on both sides of Bergenline Avenue along the parade route. Bergenline Avenue will be closed to traffic starting at 11 a.m. It is advised that vehicles avoid the area if at all possible.
