The deadline for parking registration for the next year is Sunday, Oct. 15.

 

Annual residential parking permits for Guttenberg residents expire at the end of September, with a two-week grace period to Oct. 15. The renewal application link is at http://www.sdlportal.com. The cost is $10, which can be paid online.

 

Mayor Wayne Zitt and the Town Council implemented the application portal four years ago so that residents can renew your permits online, allowing residents to conveniently submit your paperwork electronically rather than having to wait in line.

 

Subsequently the town improved the process even more by implementing a license plate reader-based system, meaning residents don’t even need to pick up a sticker for their car; once you’ve registered, you’re done, and the parking enforcement vehicle will automatically recognize your car.

 

If you don’t have access to the internet or would prefer to register in person, you can come to the Public Safety office in Town Hall from Monday through Saturday between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m.
