Lau’s Restaurant Hosts Senior Birthday Luncheon
Posted May 08, 2023Guttenberg’s monthly birthday luncheon for seniors was held on Friday, May 5, 2023 at Lau’s Wine Bar & Restaurant, 6913 Park Ave.
The menu included a choice of chicken or fish with tasty sides. As always, the meal ended with a terrific cake from Dulce de Leche Bakery.
The seniors filled the back of the rustic restaurant beneath a skylight and amidst atmospheric wood paneling. Belkis Rubio, who organizes the monthly event, and Public Events Coordinator Marisol Montanez helped serve the meal. Joining them to greet the seniors and wish them a happy birthday were Council Members Monica Fundora and William Hokien.
The afternoon ended with a visit from Outreach Coordinator Sandra Miranda of 2nd Home Adult Medical Day Care, who raffled off five attractive gift baskets and spoke about the many services available from 2nd Home.
