Wellness Day is Bigger & Better than Ever
Posted February 17, 2023Guttenberg’s monthly Wellness Day is attracting more and more residents as the list of vendors and participating companies continues to grow. On Thursday, Feb. 16, 2023 there were nine providers at the Guttenberg Resource Center offering free testing, vaccines, information, snacks, and plenty of giveaways.
This month Verizon, AT&T, and NJ Saves were on hand with programs to help seniors and other residents save money on their phone and utility bills. Additional vendors included Best Home Care and Trü Frü snacks, who handed out free treats to attendees.
North Hudson Community Action Corporation and Hudson Pride provided COVID, flu, and monkeypox vaccines; blood pressure and glucose screenings; and information on all available services. In addition, Hudson Pride offered free HIV testing, with participants receiving a free $15 Amazon gift card.
In addition, the Guttenberg Police Department had an information table and gave out gift bags, delighting a cluster of visiting kids from Apple Early Learning Center and Preschool.
Mark your calendars for the next Wellness Day from noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2023 in the Resource Center, located downstairs in the Galaxy Towers Mall, 7002 Boulevard East.
