Hundreds of kids and their families enjoyed a terrific holiday party at the Gerald R. Drasheff Community Center on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2022 sponsored by Mayor Wayne Zitt and the Guttenberg Town Council.

Santa Claus was on hand as always (he goes out of his way to visit Guttenberg multiple times over the season) taking photos with everyone.

Kids each got presents from a huge selection of items of all kinds for different age groups. Meanwhile there was free face-painting and balloon creations.

Later, popular performers the Smooth Band Orchestra entertained the crowd with a rousing live performance of holiday songs and more.

Mayor Zitt and the Council, in conjunction with the Police and Recreation Departments, sponsored an annual toy drive to collect gifts for the event. The holiday party and toy giveaway was organized by Events Coordinator Marisol Montanez, along with the Rec and Police Departments.
