The Guttenberg Police Department promoted two veteran officers at a ceremony in the Community Center on Sept. 26. Sgt. Frank Pelaez was promoted to lieutenant and Det. Aleksander Ramadanovic was promoted to sergeant.

 

In addition, Joseph Holmes, Camille Calupad, and Brandon Sauerwald were hired as probationary police officers, and Amy Escalante and Kevin Ortiz were hired as Class I special officers.

 

Retired Officer Jose Mojica was also sworn in to oversee school security as a Class III officer. This is the first time the town has hired a Class III special officer.

 

The promotions were held in conjunction with the regular Town Council meeting.
