Census Shows Hudson is New Jersey’s Fastest-Growing County
Posted August 18, 2021The results of the 2020 Census have been released, and more local details are becoming available.
According to the census, Hudson County’s total population grew from 634,266 in 2010 to 724,854 in 2020 – an increase of 90,588 residents for a growth rate of 14.3% over 10 years.
Hudson County had the largest percentage increase of population out of all 21 counties in New Jersey, followed by Ocean County at 10.5% and Essex County at 10.2%.
The Town of Guttenberg grew from 11,176 residents in 2010 to 12,017 in 2020, for a total increase of 841 people, or 7.5%.
