Woodcliff Lake in Braddock Park now has a terrific new feature: kayaking. Walk-up rentals are available by the hour for ages 12+ next to the lake house.

 

All rentals include basic instruction for beginners. PFDs (personal floatation devices), comfortable backrest seats and paddles provided. The cost is $20 for a single kayak, $30 for a double kayak or for kayaking with your dog. Ages 4+ may paddle with an adult. 300 lbs maximum capacity. Pre-book at kayakinthepark.com.

 

Owner and operator Kevin Murray is a North Bergen High School graduate who is bringing jobs to local students. Kayaking in the park is made available by County Commissioner Anthony Vainieri and County Executive Thomas DeGise.
