The Town of Guttenberg is once again participating in National Night Out Against Crime with a free public event and concert. Festivities will take place in front of Town Hall at 6808 Park Avenue on Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2021.
Mayor Wayne Zitt, the Town Council, and the Guttenberg Police Department invite everyone to come enjoy free food, beverages, music, and fun. Popular local band Finish This will be performing on the big stage, offering great rock and pop tunes from across the decades in the third of the town’s six summer concerts.
National Night Out was founded in 1984 as a way to forge a stronger relationship between the community and the police officers who patrol the streets every day. Across the country, events take place on the first Tuesday in August with the goal of bringing police and residents together in a positive environment. This is Guttenberg’s fifth year participating in Night Out. (Last year’s event was postponed from August to October due to the pandemic.)
