According to the NJ Office of Emergency Management, heaviest snow is forecast from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, with rates up to 1 inch per hour possible. Snow may impact the Thursday a.m. and p.m. commutes, and possibly the Friday a.m. commute for northern counties. Travel may be hampered by slippery spots on roads, bridges, ramps, overpasses, sidewalks, and untreated surfaces. Monitor weather media for updated forecasts.
  
Safety Tips:

•  If you MUST drive, have an emergency kit for your car, have a full tank of gas, and don't crowd the plow. Check 511nj.org for traffic conditions before hitting the road.
• Keep electronic devices charged up
• Limit time outdoors. If you must go out, bundle up and dress in layers.
• Report a power outage to your utility company. Do not assume your neighbor has called it in.
• Bring pets indoors. If you're cold, they're cold!
