The Guttenberg Police Department has promoted three members within its ranks. Jaber Jaber, who also serves as a fireman in Cliffside Park, was sworn in as a full-time Guttenberg Police Officer after previously serving the town as a Class 1 Special. Najee Anderson went from a part-time Class 2 to a full-time Class 2 Police Officer. And Karina Galvis went from a Class 1 Special a part-time Class 2 Police Officer.

Public Safety Director Robert White presided over the swearing-in ceremony in the Gerald R. Drasheff Community Center on Monday, Aug. 24, 2020. Family members joined the officers as they took the oath in front of a socially-distanced audience of well-wishers.
