Learn About ‘The Breweries That Built NoHU’ on June 5
Posted June 03, 2020This Friday, June 5, 2020 join the North Bergen Historical Society for a virtual event exploring the history of beer in the northern end of Hudson County. NoHu has a rich brewing history and you are invited to join in discovering it.
Historian Michael Maring will talk about the famous breweries, brewers, and more that once called the county home. He will explore the history of several breweries that once dotted the landscape: Hudson County Consumer's Brewery, William Peter's Brewery, Daniel Bremes Brewery, Rock Cellar Brewery, Standard Brewery, White Brewery, and more. Find out where these breweries were located, who ran them, what kind of beer they made, and more importantly why they are not around today.
