Mayor Wayne Zitt and the Town Council presented a Community Service Award to Nikesh Desai at the regular meeting of the town council on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2018.
 
Desai, the owner of Bottle Co at 5665 John F. Kennedy Blvd. in North Bergen, has been a strong supporter of civic events in Guttenberg, donating generously to initiatives like the annual toy drive for the needy.
 
Mayor Zitt presented a plaque to Desai honoring him “in grateful recognition of your outstanding dedication and generosity to the residents of the Town of Guttenberg.”
 
The presentation was held in town chambers on the second floor of town hall.
