RFP-Public Relations Firms Interested In Providing Public Newsletter

TOWN OF GUTTENBERG REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
FROM PUBLIC RELATIONS FIRMS INTERESTED IN PROVIDING 
A PUBLIC NEWSLETTER TO THE TOWN OF GUTTENBERG
FOR THE PERIOD OF OCTOBER 1, 2012 TO SEPTEMBER 30, 2013   
  


Introduction

The Town of Guttenberg (“Town”) is a municipality of Hudson County, New Jersey. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.5 et seq, the Town seeks Requests for Proposal (“RFP”) from Municipal Public Relations Firms that wish to provide a public newsletter to the Town of Guttenberg. Said newsletter will be published four times per year and will be a written communication from the governing body to the citizens of Guttenberg on all events concerning the Municipality. The newsletter will include but not be limited to a letter from the Mayor, pictures and articles of all events occurring in Guttenberg that are note worthy, pictures and articles concerning upcoming Guttenberg events, a schedule of all Municipal events by date and a schedule of bulk and recycling garbage collection for the Town of Guttenberg for a period from October 1, 2012 to September 30, 2013. Copies of documents setting forth the scope of services, contract terms and conditions, proposal requirements, criteria for evaluation of proposals, and proposals submission requirements may be obtained from the Municipal Clerk of the Town of Guttenberg by telephoning the Clerk at 201-868-2315, ext. 100 or by visiting his offices at 6808 Park Avenue, Guttenberg, New Jersey, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Proposals will be accepted up to 2:00 p.m. (prevailing time) on Thursday, August 30, 2012. All necessary documents may be downloaded from the official Guttenberg website, www.guttenbergnj.org

Professional Information and Qualifications

Each interested firm shall submit the following information:

1.    Name of firm;

2.    Address of principal place of business and all partners or firm’s offices and corresponding telephone and fax numbers. Please note specifically which partners will be assigned to work with the Town;

3.     Prior Public Relations experience; 


4.    Experience related to public newsletters;                  

5.    The firm’s ability to provide the services in a timely fashion (including staffing, familiarity and location of key staffing);

6.    Cost details per each newsletter including preparations, printing, mailing and postage;

7.    Any other information which the interested firm deems relevant;

8.    New Jersey Business Registration Certificate;

9.    Certificate of Employee Information Report;

10.    Fully executed Non-Collusion Affidavit which is attached; 

11.    Fully executed Disclosure of Ownership form which is attached;

12.    Mandatory Equal Employment Opportunity Language (if applicable)


 
Section Criteria

The selection criteria used in awarding a contract or agreement for professional services as described herein shall include:

1.    Qualifications of the individuals who will perform the tasks and the amounts of their respective participation;

2.    Experience and references;

3.    Ability to perform the task in a timely fashion, including staffing and familiarity with the subject matter;

4.    Cost competitiveness; and

5.    Other factors, if demonstrated to be in the best interest of the Town.

RFP must be postmarked or hand-delivered no later than Thursday, August 30, 2012:

Please submit one original and seven (7) copies to the RFQ. Use white 8 ½ x 11 paper. Please also deliver one (1) copy to the office of Charles P. Daglian, attorney for the Town of Guttenberg at 34 Jones Street, Jersey City, New Jersey 07306.
