SEWER MAINTENANCE AND REHABILITATION 2011-2013 - GU-298

Sealed bids will be received at Boswell McClave Engineering, 330 Phillips Avenue, South Hackensack, New Jersey  07606 in the County of Bergen and State of New Jersey on  October 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. prevailing time, and then publicly opened and read aloud for:

SEWER MAINTENANCE AND REHABILITATION 2011-2013 - GU-298

HUDSON COUNTY, NEW JERSEY

The purpose of the contract is to retain a contractor on a stand-by basis, for a period of two years, to make emergency repairs, construct extensions to the storm and sanitary sewers of the municipality or other work as directed.  The work contemplated under this Contract shall be completed as agreed for each repair.

Copies of plans, specification, and contract documents will be on file for public inspection and may be obtained upon payment of $125.00, said sum not refundable, at Boswell McClave Engineering, 330 Phillips Avenue, South Hackensack, New Jersey  07606, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. prevailing time, Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays.

Bids for said contract must be based upon and in strict accordance with the aforesaid specifications.

All bids must be stated in words and figures and proposals must be made on the standard proposal form in the manner designated therein and required by specifications; must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address and phone number of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside, addressed to the Town of Guttenberg, New Jersey, and must be hand delivered to Boswell McClave Engineering for opening at the time and place aforesaid.

All bids must be submitted on forms for that purpose.

Bidder shall submit with the bid a Proposal Guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, Cash or Cashier's Check in the amount of 10% of the bid, made payable to the Town of Guttenberg.  The Bid shall also be accompanied by a Consent of Surety from a Bonding Company doing business in the State of New Jersey.

The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance, Labor and Material Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract.

Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27, as well as the affirmative action requirements of the County of Hudson.

The Town of Guttenberg reserves the right to waive informalities in bids and to reject any and all bids, if deemed in the best interest of the Town to do so
